god has many users

yes. god has many users. people are using god (in all religions) as some kind of sure-fire plan to get through the gateways of heaven. perhaps they're not actually gauranteed a place in heaven, but at least they have some sort of chance.

to put it very crudely, and i'm hoping i won't be getting any bad karma for this, it's like kissing your manager's ass for a promotion. but the thing is, how many people would still continue kissing mr. manager's ass if he was demoted to janitor? don't think so, right?

then similarly (the christian belif to be used for all examples for the sake of simplicity) , lets say satan somehow managed to overthrow god and take over his place in heaven and then relegate god and all his followers to hell to suffer for eternity, while the evil-doers and ex-hell dwellers enjoy their afterlife in heaven. i know many of you are saying it's not possible, but it's just an example. so then, how many of these loyal christians would still continue their undying support of god, knowing that if they do, they will be benished to suffer in hell for eternity? i guess very very VERY few would do so.

so it is now established that people are making use of god, in all his/her forms in all religions, in hope of a better afterlife. after all, our existence on earth is but a split second compared with they eternity of afterlife.

IF these people claim they are not using god, then why else would they blindly put faith in a religion(s) that has never been proved in any way?

i once read a christian 'handbook' of sorts, and in the faq section, there was the universal question of "if god created us, who created god?" and the 'answer' was "do not question god's existance, blah blah," which basically translates to "sorry, i have no idea, please don't ask me." the fact is, no one knows.

christians say they follow what the bible says because it's the truth. but please be reminded, the bible is only right because it says so. if i tell you to believe in witchcraft just because the harry potter books are right, would you follow what i say? probably not. then what makes the bible any different from harry potter? both are books, both are written by humans, both are widely read. oh, then they say the bible was written by people who were under god's influence. but i can also tell you that j.k. rowling wrote her books under god's influence.

then, there are perhaps 20,000 religions out there, what makes you think that the ONE you chose is THE ONE? why not believe in a religion which has one follower, who conincedently is the high priest, god's messenger and cleaner of the church all in one? what makes one religion more credible than another? nothing.

see? it again proves that all this blind belif in religion is done only because the user thinks that he can enter heaven through his support of god.

i do believe that there IS a god(s), be it a greek goddess or some aztec sun god, for i think that earthly existence is too damn short to be the whole of a person's existence. there HAS to be something else after you're clinically certified deaaad. perhaps a person's best bet is to believe in all and pray to all forms and types of gods he can find. after all, it is much easier to hit your target with 100 out of the 20,000 gods to choose from, rather than having odds of 1 in 20,000. then again, people have been known to strike lottery, which has lesser odds of winning than 1 in 20,000 (i suppose). so, stick to what you believe in and pray and pray. and when you're done praying, pray that you're not praying to a non-existant entity.
