testing

in my team are 2 girls, they're both younger than me but have already been working for a few years while doing part-time studies. they came in together with me so we've been pretty much stuck together.

for most part they are fine, but sometimes i really feel like i'm getting a stroke when talking to them about work-related stuff. i don't know how they can be working for years and still be so...

like on tuesday, i remembered that one of the girls was going on 12 days leave and the work we are currently doing is already overdue. knowing her, she would have just left it there and if no one cleared it for her then so be it.

all of us had overdue work but there were 3 new staff who just joined and didn't have much to do, so i said to this girl, why don't you pass your work to them to finish, because by the time you get back it would be way overdue.

"but they don't even know how to do it yet," she said.

yeah, so you should teach them and then they can do it for you, i replied.

"huh? why should i teach them? you teach them lah!"

i could feel my veins throbbing. remember in my previous post i said i have increased my level of patience? this is proof right here.

ok, if you don't teach them then who is going to clear your work?

"you do it loh."

i nearly died there.

  • i think the one thing that is preventing me from exploding is she's not doing this out of malice, but rather a combination of blur + innocent + lazy
