the z-monster
since i started work in april this year, i have been sleeping an average of 4-5 hours every night. i feel fine with this, but recently there has been a lot of studies on the effects that a lack of sleep can cause to your body and i feel tired just going through the long long list.
the past 3 weeks have therefore come as a great relief for my tortured body and a welcome break for my mind from the rigours (hahaha) of work.
where was i?
i was doing my reservist, and fortunately for us, there was close to nothing to do. i ended up sleeping a lot and for some reason this made me even more tired to the point where i was falling asleep at 11pm when my normal bedtime is 2am.
a typical day went like this:
0900 - reach office
1000 - breakfast
1100 - return to office, sleep
1200 - wake up, go for lunch
1330 - return to office, sleep
1500 - wake up, wonder how long more before we could go home
1630 - go home
unfortunately all good things come to an end, and tomorrow i will return to work, and with it comes the usual lack of sleep and related consequences - brain damage, heart problems, diabetes, accelerated ageing...
