i was doing some research while deciding if i should go for their concert, and then this happened.

there was something in that song that connected to perfectly to what i was feeling at that period and it poked me in places of my heart that i didn't know existed.

there was a day and a night spent in a room with the blinds down and lights off. the xx was playing the whole time, their songs providing just the right blend of comfort and distraction, fading in and out of the background as the mood dictates.

it was a day and a night where the darkness and music seemed to drown out everything but they still couldn't drown the thoughts in my head that bound me to the world existing beyond that dark room.

i've spent more time drinking in pubs and bars this year more than any other, perhaps it's a side-effect of work. my favourite is to go for a drink or three on mondays (actually every day) after work. if i have something planned, i would feel absolutely zero monday blues.

this song though, it should be the soundtrack of all those nights. the song was everywhere, and good thing for me that it's quite a nice song and not some annoying shit like pricetag, otherwise i would be suffering all year.
