fin

it was somewhere in the middle of this song, with the crowd at full voice and i felt a little tingle down my spine, it was then when it finally came to me that this was indeed the last time and i had to make this moment last forever.

"are we all to you..."

this moment is beautiful and it will indeed last forever, a moment that will reverberate throughout the lives of all those lucky enough to be present.

"are we all just lost causes..."

the final unwinding

later today i will be heading down to watch anberlin live for the fourth and final time because they're finally calling it quits after 12 years together.

i've been a fan of theirs since 2007, when i agreed with my friends to attend their first live show here despite never listening to them before.

back then i had just entered my final year in poly and was starting to get a little more 'adventurous' because fuck it, i may never get the chance to do such things again.

(this 'spirit of adventure' would later lead me into situations that i would normally have the good sense to avoid)

and so it turned out that their songs are fantastic and their live performances are amazing. it also helps that you can tell they're genuinely good guys, always happy to make music and perform for their fans.

since that fateful day, their songs (and especially this one) have been following me through the ups and downs in life, always managing to find a spot to nestle itself in, be it in a simple playlist or a mixtape for a lover. it has been the soundtrack of so many glorious and so many disastrous moments.

i really wonder how i'll feel when i hear this opening guitar tune come on for the last time.

i spend mine on being free

i spent the entire day in office listening to this and remixes of xx's intro.

i don't know how that song manages to sound good in all the random mixes, be it as a base tune or as a remix on its own.

as for this jj, i came across it in a video on saturday night and have since been obsessively listening to it.

the original is only 2:30 mins long, which is way too short, which i guess is why people have created 20 minutes remixes, 1 hour remixes, all the way up to a massive 10 hours version.

go on, you won't be disappointed.
